Step 1:

If you’ve ever deveined shrimp, then you pretty much already know how to butterfly one. Start by using a small sharp knife to slice each shrimp down the spine of shrimp from the head to the tail right where the dark vein appears. Remove the vein, and rinse the shrimp. You may need to cut a little deeper after removing the vein to butterfly the shrimp.

Step 2:

Spread the shrimp halves apart, and press with your fingers to flatten the shrimp. See how it looks like a butterfly?!

Step 3:

To stuff or fill butterflied shrimp, just spoon the stuffing on top of the spread halves, mounding it with your fingers. Now you’re ready to bake!
